How to make, or where to find something like these folding tables

I would like to buy or make something like these folding tables. I don't want to pay a lot of money. Has anyone ever made something like these( not the top part) or found a reasonable price on them?

My recommendation is to research thrift stores and garage sales to perhaps transform similar objects.

Jeannie I'm not sure where you live in Canada but you could try to find the pattern on line. Then hit Craft sales,Flea markets and Farmers markets. Often there will be someone selling wooden products, You could ask them if they could make the tables or if they knows of some one that could. Good Luck.

I just googles "patterns for folding tables" and a zillion things show up! Should be something there to give you some ideas. . .

Jeannie these are called TV Dinner Trays. They were very popular in the 50's & 60's. You've received some excellent suggestions I would just add Etsy. The are currently sold at Bed, Bath and Beyond.

I have a set of tables that slide under each other to become one table from the 50's. Look for them online.

I actually don't want the top like that, just plain. I really like the way the tables fold & slide into the cart.

Look at someplace that sells hand crafted furniture like Pier 1 or possibly World Market. This is a beautiful piece!
