Good Morning J Smothers :) Here is a link to help you with it; just make sure you begin with a clean, dry wall. Thanks for using Hometalk for answers, and good luck with your project :)

I would not use it for back splash but if you do be sure your wall is clean and free of any grease or dirt. Contact paper comes in many decorated styles and is applied easily to a dry surface by peeling off the back to expose a sticky side. You may want 4 hands to put it up. It applies easiest if you only put down two corners then slowly lay the rest down and smooth as you go. Have the wall marked to make sure you keep it straight. It will get bubbles in it if you do not keep it tight as you put it down. When applying contact paper I have had small bubbles removed by rubbing them with my thumb to the edge of the paper. Wrinkles are made easily so keep it tight and good luck!
