Ive had good results with the Command hooks...just be sure you get the right size for the weight/size of the item

I've tried this and they didn't adhere to the surface for long. I wiped the wall first to clean any dirt and waited for it to dry before sticking the hooks to it. I got them from the hardware store that suggested the item.

3M makes hooks and strips specifically for outdoor use.

But they don't work on bricks or cement walls. I bought a few that said that they work on brick and cement, but they don't.

I always read instructions/directions and always clean any grime...I bought a few and read that they work on brick and cement, but they didn't.

If the Command strips don't work, use thin wire to hang the items from the overhand, eves, or any other wood that is straight up from the patio. Also, easels could give you more display space. Best wishes 😇

Jewell, there is no overhead, eves or other wood because I live in a highrise building and don't have a patio...I have a balcony with a cement ceiling, brick wall of the build and cement walls. Thanks anyways.

the wall is not brick / stone is it? just plain 'paint' ? That's odd - I've used on high gloss paint in my bathroom -- is there crown molding around the top - where the wall/ceiling join? maybe you could hang from long ribbons, rope, straps, wire, chain, etc. from the crown molding --- did you tell the hardware store guy?

This is outside on my balcony and yes I asked the people who work in that section at the hardware store.

Brick and cement are pouris if not sealed....moisture can get thru. Stuff tends not to stick. are you able to seal them? There are a type of hangers not command, but a certain shaped wire ...used them after Des Moines flooded the home place in 1993. got them from a home improvement store.
