How would you decorate a kitchen that has black appliances?

Does black kitchen appliances match walnut cabinets and table? My husband seems to think we need a different color table and I disagree.

It should work fine. You can always put a table cloth over the table.

If my appliances were black, I would stay away from brown/walnut but that's just a matter of personal preference. But I have seen black appliances with walnut cabinets and it does look totally fine. So it is totally doable.

Thanks. We are replacing old "beige/bisque" appliances that are no longer available at the store, so we went with black, which is not my first choice, but I don't like the stainless steel look.

It sounds like you have a lot of dark surfaces. If you are willing to change things up a bit why not consider relacing some of the upper cabinet doors with glass paned doors. You could paint the inside of those cabinets to better show off your dishes and to break up the dark wood that sits right at eye level. It would be much easier than painting you cabinets. Walnut is too nice to paint over. Covering your table with with a table cloth will also brighten your room.
