I bought some glass etching material- how do I use it?

I bought some glass etching material (a cream substance) but it has no instructions about using it. ( brush on? leave on how long? neutralize or just wash it off?) So I ended up with a product I can't use. Can anyone advise me? Katie Wilson, Bartlesville, OK.

It's really easy, they sell stencil for small projects, should have been in the same area as the cream, stick it down really good, no creases or gaps, the gas will get in and under and etch that part to. Brush the cream on, let it sit for the recommended time and then rinse off with water. Pull off the stencil. Enjoy. When you have a feeling for the line work, make your own designs by putting clear contact paper, trace it, trim it out slowly and precisely, meaning no rough edges,. Weed out the parts you want etched, brush the cream on as before.

Good call on that, I worked with for years, about 20 + years ago, if I didn't have so many other hobbies, I would still do it. Luckily no mishaps

Look on line for instructions for the specific brand you bought, or go back to the retail seller and ask for instructions.

Many thanks, Shirley! I will do that next. There is no web site noted on the label.
