I would only use two prints on each side of the mirror. You could use the other two on another wall in the same room. I think the scale would look better. That's just my opinion, of course.
I don't think so, but wondered why not try three on each side of the mirror vs the four and two? Keep the two closest to each side of the mirror and put the third one centered to the left and right of each set.

I think the metal piece over the mirror is fine. But, I agree with Barbara, I would either use three prints on each side of the mirror or use just two prints on each side and put the two extra prints on another wall in the room.
I would move the pictures to another wall and perhaps put a sconce on each side of the mirror.
Are all the prints the same size or are the two on the right larger than the 4 on the left? If they are all the same size then I would go for symmetry and put 3 on one side and 3 on the other as Barbara suggests. As for the piece above the mirror, I like it
