The clear nail polish would probably work as a temporary solution. You might talk to someone at a boat company for a more permanent solution. They work with sails and nautical fabrics. At the very least, they might be able to point you in the right direction.
The seam seal will not cover the holes, just the surrounding fabric. A thin spot of silicone may work without a problem because it is flexible. Another thing would be gorilla tape. I had a patch of that on my convertible top whew ice from the house dropped on it and tore open a hole. It stayed on there for about two years until the car died. Make the patch about an inch larger than the hole, so you will only need about an inch square. It will be water and weather proof. Give it a try, but use the gorilla tape, regular duck tape won't work, it won't stay on for very long.
Depending on the fabric your tent is made of, you could try ironing on some patches that are made for fabric. That would seal the holes completely. Just be sure not to damages the surrounding fabric of the tent with the iron.
You can buy some material glue in a craft store, and brush it on, that should seal it, do the inside too.
flex seal would work
