I have electric wall sconces but no where to wire them in

Are there light bulbs that are battery operated or a socket? Unless I can use a solar powered light that I would have to adapt I have no idea what to do - any ideas or suggestions?

You could always just take the wiring out completely, and use them as candle holders. You can even get some beautiful LED candle sticks so you don't risk anything catching on fire.

Put the battery operated fairy lights in them. I just used them for my daughters wedding in metallic mason jars and they looked amazing.

You can change the wiring to a plug in cord so you can reach an existing outlet. You can use cord covers on the wall.

Add some wood panels or shutters to hide the wires on the wall.

You can buy lamp wire at any home improvement store and rewire the sconce, you'll need to drill a hole on the backplate to pass the wire through it. Some lamp wire comes with an inline switch. To install the sconce on the wall just screw the cross bar to the wall and attach the sconce to it. If you need the conversion done and you don't mind spending some money on it I could do it for you. I'm a lighting designer and a metal artist. (pictures attached show both options).
  • I take it that you have new not installed electric sconces? If so, and you want to install them it can be simple if you have an outlet below where you want to install them. I installed several sconces in my house above where an outlet was and ran the wire from the outlet for power and then put a switch that you can buy at your Lowe's or The Home Depot to switch the sconce off and on.
