Hello Rosalie; You can pretty much use Anything that you wish to make Wind chimes.
I was given a set that was made out of metal pipes attached to a piece of wood. I hung it away from any windows but I could still hear it at nights, when the wind blew!!!
You can make a smaller one using a small piece of wood, and scrap silverware with little bits of glass or smaller pieces of silverware hanging close by the other pieces.

As far as Wall Hanging, what are you interested in, Please?
in the 70's macrame was popular. if you want a classy idea use fabric. I used fabric to cover a wall by hanging it on a door-high shelf. you attach it to the shelf where it meets the wall and then its easy to change. I was in a rented apartment and unable to change the color and texture of the walls so doing this gave me a wall of color in the entryway. the shelf above I put antique books on. I put a hole through the fabric to hang a framed mirror. It was astounding the difference it made.
