Do nothing that limits access to the fuse box. Nothing.

In our old house the fuse box was in the hallway. So my husband made a picture frame to cover it. It was like a thin shadow box. The slit on top to put pictures in.
You can build a box frame about 3 inches wide around the panel and then put a door on so that you still have access. Paint the box the same color as your wall and it will blend in. You can purchase ready made doors so buy that first and then decide on how large the box needs to be to accommodate the door.
tho you should not cover them because fire department won’t be able to find I know this the rule but this small box is a non functioning one ! This is how I cover mine

You can get a dowel and put a piece of burlap on it. Sew a seam at the top run the dowel through. Put a eye screw in each end and run a nice piece of jute rope through it. Then stencil your initial on there with paint or a black sharpie and hang.
Use a cabinet unity that has the shelves out that fit over the fuse box. You can also use a shadow box frame and put a photo or picture on the front of the frame.
