I want to drill holes in glass. Not sure how to do this...

How do I get a hole in a glass light shade or bottle...?

    There is a drill bit that does this. Go to the hardwear store and tell them what you are doing and they will give you the bit

    Also need to make sure to spray water while you are drilling. The friction can make it so hot the glass cracks. Good luck! :)

    I use my Dremel and diamond bits from Harbor Freight. It's important to start small, at a 45 degree angle then quickly up to a 90 degree angle. You also have to drill under water. I have found some newer glass to splinter into tiny shards but the old glass does really well. Have fun!

    If it's a wine bottle cover the area with duck tape, and then use your Dremel

    Susie is dead on... you can buy a set of diamond dust hole saw on eBay for a couple of bucks. There are plenty of videos on You Tube on how to use them... I usually submerge whatever I drill just under water enough to cool the bit...
