This is for a DISPLAY only plate...yes? I would not want to put food on the plate... and it would not be washable afterwards either
Be sure to seal well over the edges, too.
You would not be able to wash it, or give it regular wear, but yes, you can do that. If you want it for looks, any poly seal would work, if you want to use it as a tray or plate, you would need to seal with food grade sealant
