Not sure what you are asking
We painted ours - including the chain it hangs from. Removed the bulbs and globes, took it down -some electrical work required but you could leave it in place and use old newspaper and drop cloths to mask everything else and protect it.
Cleaned and dried it. We used Rustoleum spray paint. Quick and easy.
We didn’t add any “petr” Or anything else, actually.
