Hi Sue! I put beadboard on my ceilings and on a few of my walls. Screws are the best way to go but if you prefer quicker and easier (and no filling screw holes later) you can use a brad nailer just MAKE sure the brads are at least 2 inches long!
no but sounds cool!
We use beaded board all the time. You can get a similar looking product in a full sheet to get the same look. https://www.lowes.com/pd/47-75-in-x-7-98-ft-Beaded-White-Hardboard-Wall-Panel/3031277?cm_mmc=SCE_PLA-_-Millwork-_-InteriorWallPanels-_-3031277:&CAWELAID=&kpid=3031277&CAGPSPN=pla&store_code=2588&k_clickID=db55cdfa-ab46-4771-b479-b4d3b5ad1f04&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIxNGR3vDa2gIVFY_ICh2irwZ1EAYYAiABEgIeq_D_BwE. Use construction adhesive and apply pressure to the panel until it dries.
Decide if you want the bead board to go vertically or horizontally, 1/3, 1/2 or all the way to the ceiling, and what kinds of trim you want to use. Be sure the walls are insulated, in good repair, and have a surface to nail the bead board to, like the studs, or glue onto, like drywall. I think this would make wonderful wall cover. ☺️
I love the embossed wallpaper that looks like bead board. Paintable and very easy to install. Martha Stewart makes one. I get mine at Home Depot and Lowe's. I've also used the embossed wallpaper that looks like tile. So easy to install.
Yes the embossed wall paper is cool... and works.. looks great and really easy
