Great idea. Install grow lights and a soaker hose system on a water resistant wall board and you're good to go!

With any grow lights, a source of electricity close enough to plug them in is required. Having an electrical cord or extension cords in a bathroom is not recommended as it is very dangerous, simply due to the multiple sources of water and high humidity.

While items such as electric hair dryers and curling irons are used in bathrooms, they are generally plugged into GFCI electrical plugs found by the sink (or ought to be according to code) and are used only for short periods, rather than being continuously plugged in and running 24/7.
