Place your crate where the table is, cover with pretty fabric or tablecloth then place the glass from table on top. We had an end table next to couch like this for years. People were always surprised when the dog would go into crate to avoid small children or to sleep. I believe she nudged open the door to get in, we never needed to lock it. No one ever realized it was not an end table & it held a lamp as well.
