In this case, you will have to use a bookcase, or book rack. There are few studs in the wall, that you can hang shelves on. Be very careful. If you use your knuckle on your hand, you can tap it on the wall, and when you hear a different noise, that is the stud. You could use shelves that attach to metal strips with slots-like the ones used in stores or closets. The strips would have to be attached to the studs to bear any weight. You may want to use a freestanding cabinet.

There are studs somewhere. Look for where paneling comes together and where it is nailed. Stud-finder? If you once find some, you can choose to use a wood board nailed across and secured into the studs, then hang your shelf onto that. Also works for stair rails and other applications.

Judy is right. Studs are also easier to find with a magnet. Studs in MH's are 24" instead of 16" like a stick house. This might help.

Doubt your shelves will hold much weight as the wall board is thin in mobiles, it's not drywall, and any weight will cause it to fail. make sure that the screws you use to attach the shelving brackets go into the wood framing. You can get a stud finder at Home Depot or any building/hardware store that will show you where the framing is. Mobiles are typically framed with 2 x 2 studs that are vertical and spaced every 16" or 24". The stud finder will show you where the edges of the studs are. your screws should be 1 1/2" long if the wall has drywall and 1 1/4" long if it's wood panel. Screws longer than that might go right through to the exterior.

Depending on the extent of shelves you want two possibilities occur, one: construct a frame work to support the shelves and lean it against the wall (think of a step ladder) Two: locate the ceiling joist (above the ceilings drywall ) attach a frame work the ceiling and add the shelves as wanted.

Look for mollies screws at the hardware store. These have a expanding piece that will open to stabilize the screw inside the wall . It will hold the shelf and not put big holes in the wall. They come in many sizes
