Please explain what Mod Podge is and how you do it. Is there any other product I can put on to seal?

You're really asking two completely different questions. I don't use chalk paint, but I can tell you want Mod Podge is. It's a white glue used to both adhere and seal paper cutouts to a surface. Here's a link to their website for further information along with another fun Mod Podge blog. http://www.plaidonline.com/mod-podge/brand/home.htm http://modpodgerocksblog.com/

I think Becky has sufficiently answered the Mod Podge question so I'll address the chalk paint question. Chalk paint dries with a very flat, chalky finish. In other words, there is no sheen to it. In order to protect the paint (which can distress easily with no protection) and give the flat look of the paint some luster, waxing was what the commercial chalk paint companies were initially recommending. Some companies have come out with additional products as an alternative to waxing. If you are going to use a commercially made chalk paint, check to see what other methods of sealing that company has available. You can also use one of those products over homemade chalk paint or... some people just use a protective top coat like the polyurethane etc., you would use to top coat stain or regular paint..
