MN Mom on May 09, 2016How about mason jars painted different shades of pink. You could use scrapbook sticker letters and spelled out hope, love, courage, etc and then use the jars as either vases of carnations, put in a battery operated tealight and use them as a candle holder or have attendees of the event put slips of paper with messages of support in the jars. The notes could then be delivered to a facility where patients undergo radiation or chemo treatments and given out as wishes of encouragement.Helpful Reply

Julies1949 on May 09, 2016It's easy to make manzanita branch type centerpieces. Find a vase or box of your choice. Gather the branches. Secure them in the container with expanding foam insulation. Hot glue on a few silk flowers.Helpful Reply

V Valencia on May 10, 2016You can place fake (or real) flowers or branches in tall cylinder shaped vases with water and then float a candle on top. They look great for an evening party. If your party has a theme, you can be creative with whatever you put in the water. It is also great if you can place these on mirrors for nice reflection. You can get the vases at the Dollar Store and the floating candles at Michael's.Helpful Reply

Bonnie D on May 10, 2016MN mom kinda stole my idea. You could use all sorts of interesting jars. Try painting inside of jars. It gives an interesting effect. Just put a leaf or two in jars.Helpful Reply

Heidi on May 11, 2016Go to Dollar Tree, purchase tiny gift bags, plain white or pink. Inside place a small glass jar filled with green flower foam fill with baby's breath, carnations, a few leaves, etc. can be real or fake flowers. I use this idea for any holiday, just change out colors and plants per season.Helpful Reply
