Need Wall Decor Ideas For my Podcast Room?
Hi, I am going to start a podcast series of travelling and travelling goods like backpacks, bags and wallets etc. I am thinking of making wall drawings of different designer purses on the walls behind my podcast setup or should I hang some purses or bags on the walls beside us? What do you guys recommend? I have attached the pic of the current design but it is too simple and doesn't match the theme of my podcast.

I like the idea of actual purses/bags. I wouldn't add too many, though. You don't want them to be a distraction.
What you could do is refinish the coffee table (paint and wood is an attractive combo) to make the area more attractive for display, also the chairs, either replace, paint, or cover. Too many radical colors going on, you could really fancy this set up cheaply.
Select key bags that complement the decor that are up for presentation/discussion.
Hello. I do like the attractive pleated wall. I was wondering as an alternate option to consider if you could hang the bags and purses on a chain or a post on either side of the background.
hang a few items but not enough to cause a distraction- use a soothing color for you wall and you should be fine since you said it is travel related you could also use a large map for your background and then add some of your items
I would be more inclined to add scenery pictures rather than purses and bags. You can change it often. Kinko type stores can print them in large size and Walmart may still do so as well.
Perfect lighting is the first goal. 3 point lighting or ring lights are highly recommended. https://www.google.com/search?q=how+to+set+up+lighting+for+podcasts&rlz=1C1SQJL_enUS800US800&oq=how+to+set+up+lighting+for+podcasts&aqs=chrome..69i57j33i160.9320j0j7&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8

I would use a mixture of travel posters and purses, backpacks, accessories as a backdrop. Also place a few on the cocktail table.
If you are into any sports or other activities you could add that and it would seem more personal. Perhaps tone down the color of the chairs. You could achieve that with slip covers so you aren't tied into any certain color.
If you want to convey the date a large dementia clock would work well. That would display the time, date and more detailed info that might let a person watching know how current the pod cast is. We got ours at amazon and they have lots to choose from.
First thought I had was a world map for the travel theme.
I agree this is very simple and you need to add some design to it. I like the idea of drawings because you can easily swap them out. That is, unless you have a huge supply of actual designer bags.
Also, keep in mind not everyone will want designer so you will want to grab the attention of those that don't spend that kind of money of bags. I used to be a designer bag person and then I bought a Lug crossbody for vacation. Now my high end bags are in their pouches in the top of my closet and I opt for less expensive and more practical items - especially with built in storage.
I would suggest checking with your local schools to see if they have any hanging maps that they no longer use. Some are very retro and would make a great backdrop. Keep it clean and even put the map up to reveal the bags draped or hanging from props. Things like tree branches or interesting pieces that reflect your destination would be neat. Old globes can be used as well. If you can’t get your hands on an old pull down map think about old maps from an atlas or book of maps. Make a wall collage by overlapping different flat maps sizes. I did this on a bedroom wall and it looked amazing. I left small areas without covering them up with maps. The more random the better. Good luck!!
What if you hung a map of some kind? If you are about travel, a vintage map or a world map might be appropriate. :)
Posters of radio hosts cash kasum ,Ryan Seacrest,
Keep in mind that if there are any identifying names, logos, colors, or designs on the articles (backpacks, etc.) that you are considering hanging up, that they may conflict/compete with the particular items that you are reviewing in the podcast episode. For this reason I would suggest silhouettes or outlines of travel accessories, instead of the actual tangible item.
