White is a great backdrop! You can add in color in lots of other ways. Try searching Pinterest for “white walls decor” and see what looks appeal to you. You can find lots of fun accessories and furniture at thrift stores and pain them. :)
Command hooks and hang art work. It could be pictures, posters, fabric, clocks, mirrors, metal cutouts, temp and humidity gauge, hooks to hold keys, etc.
You can hang frames, etc. with Command strips. I would get some faux (or real if you have a green thumb) plants, nice decor pillows, etc.
if you can afford spring loaded curtain rods, you can sometimes find them long enough to span short walls from one perpendicular wall to another or even to the side of a piece of furniture, & hang things from the rods - light weight framed art or photos, or beautiful pieces of fabric - don't have to sew it - staple a hem and staple another channel up top to run the rod thru.
