Trying to update a builder grade mirror with small stones. Can I hot glue them and will it hold up with the humidity?
Use molding. You can use it as wide as you like. You can even glue it to mirrow or if you have spece you can frame it like a picture.
There are many DIY videos for this. and it is. Not necessary to remove the mirror from the wall to frame it. It the clips get in the way of the frame use a frame thick enough that you can chisel out small inventions where the clips are.
Yes it can be done! All you need to know how to do is Google! (Maybe he wants to get out of weekend work???🤔)
Here are a couple helpful items. Have fun!

You can frame the two sides and top. The plastic clips holding the mirror can be removed, as you ad the trim around the mirror. The trim should have a rabbit to overlap the mirror. This will take the place of the clips
Yes! Go for it!!! If the clips get in the way another way i read about is to take off the clips and use flat round washer to keep the mirror fastened on the wall. That way the molding will lay flat. I just have to try this one!
You can also remove the bulky clips and use flat washers. That way the trim can lay flat on the mirror.
