Can you say score? I happened to stumble on a thrift shop on my way home from an estate sale and boy am I glad I did!
I am a lover of California pottery so when I was checking out I looked up behind the counter and could not believe what I was seeing!
Not only were these all in mint condition, most of them are marked Japan or occupied Japan! Another score are the Bakelite shakers with the Mexican art on them!
If you know anything about any of them, please feel free to share! I can't find who makes the little nun. I found a few online but not with the gold rosary. Also, next to her is what looks like a Caroler. Any guesses?
Look at all the goodies! Toothpaste and brush S&P :). Kreiss Mrs. Claus egg? Axe and stump S&P nun and look at the teeny tea cup "occupied Japan" on the bottom!
More Japan salt and pepper. Lonely little lady and gorgeous roosters. Behind is beautiful book ends from Germany!
Look at these adorable S&P. A little nun and Caroler. Little asian girl case
Bug sprayer and rolling pin shakers Scottie's and more! See the pink wall violin? All in excellent condition!
Bakelite shakers with sombrero man! Scottie's marked Japan! Little case behind them!
Teeny tea cup!
Cannot figure out if these figurines hold anything? I can't find them.
Look how beautiful these are for $2.99!

Beautiful finds Julie. My Mom had a set of the couple that have the bars over their backs. Hers had buckets at their sides though too. I haven't thought of those in years. I used to love dusting her nicknacks.

I have a collection of made in occupied Japan figurines. Of course all of these were produced in Japan directly after WWII. I display some of them in a small shadow box type curio cabinet on a wall, and when I lived in a larger house had many of them displayed in other places. Now most are packed away. The value of most of these is minimal, and you will find antique dealers often overprice them. But they are fun to try to find and there are many different types out there as you have found.

The smaller pieces may be minimal in value, but they're delightful. The pair of lamps, though, appear to be Aladdin. I found a single lamp base in cream here: https://www.etsy.com/listing/98106118/aladdin-pottery-lamp-base-from-1952?ref=market They're only asking $20, but Aladdin usually goes for much more, though that may be dependent on the material used. Still I'd count those by themselves as a pretty good haul!

@Nancy Gramm I know why it's so cheap...it has no cord or switch. Mine work and are just beautiful! Thank you again Nancy! It means a lot to me to have all of you HT'ers help and knowledge!

I am so jealous, what a terrific find. I have a S & P collection with close to 300 sets and 100 + singles, and not one of any of these you found. Check with a bookstore, I have found there and online books about S & P's. One is Salt and Pepper shakers III, identification 7& values Guarnaccia publications. Again very jealous.

I think the little glass with lip was used for pouring syrup, the lamps may be of the 50's era? The pink violin I'm thinking of a replica of a small clear glass one that held candy, but think this is a small vase

Thanks so much Mary! The violin is a wall hanging...no vase but quirky just the same...
