School photos/mod podge/resin

i asked a question previously using my left over school pictures (I have lots of them) I put them on chargers with mod podge, because I received an answer from a Hometalk client saying resin would probably harm the pictures. what if now I put resin over the 6 layers or so of mod podge I used. would the mod podge protect the pictures enough to use the resin on them now?
