How big do the fabric squares need to be to cover a plump 18" square pillow form? I know I need extra for the seam allowance, but how much more to account for the fullness of the pillow?

Take a measuring tape and run it across the pillow form.

Lay some material over the pillow form you will be using and add your seam allowance after that. From that measurement you can determine how much new material you need and how large to cut it to sew it to fit. Hope this helps

I would take a tape measure and measure around the pillow across the center and divide that by half, then use a half inch seam. I would guess it would take a 20" fabric square without measuring the actual pillow. I think it's better to have the fabric a little tight than loose and floppy.
