My husband gifted me with a watch that just says "NOW" - inspired by a Jimmy Buffet song, there are no hands, the inside is painted like the ocean and holds sand and a seashell from where we first lived. The back is engraved with the song title, "Breathe In, Breathe Out, Move On." It serves as a daily reminder to be in the moment and take life slow...

    how did you do it???

Hi. I took out all of the insides and left only the base/frame of the clock. I could not use the glass (in this case plexi-glass) but I can't quite remember if it was broke or another reason. I cut out cardboard the size of the diameter of the circle and cut the edges of a round doily to put as a matte to the picture. Then I glued the picture (copy, not original) to the center. I added the fake moss and the origami butterflies and roses. Oh, I also spray painted the clock and sanded/roughed it up a bit before I started. It is a picture of my mom, one of my favorites.
