Using flowers to make essential oils

I have a nice bunch of lavender and would like to make an oil from these. Is this possible? Has anyone else done something like this?

I use almond oil--the infusion is lovely.

Anny, there is a big difference between essential oils and infused oils. Essential oils an almost pure oil from the plant or flower, using a steam or distillate process. They are highly concentrated essence of the plant which include its scent and life force. A infused oil is made buy immersing the plant or flower into a oil base ( coconut, almond, olive etc) to flavor and scent the oil. If you are making something that calls for essential oil it is best to go to a quality, organic company which has the purity and quality required.
