How do I know how old this rocker is? If I were to buy or sell it what would be a reasonable price?

I have no idea, but can you find any markings on it anywhere that might indicate a manufacturer or production date?

Look at the way it was made. Construction details can reveal a lot about age.

Regarding the pricing part of your question: Pricing for buying and selling are very different depending on who is on the other end of that transaction. Buying for your own use vs buying for resale vs selling to an individual vs selling to a resaler (antique shop dealer etc) for the same item, can have vastly different outcomes. If you can determine it's basic used value and purchase it for your own use at 30% below that price, good deal. If you have it to sell and you can sell it to an individual who wants it for their own use, you will get more money than if you sell to an resaler who has to have some room for profit on their end. We see a lot of old rockers (big and small) in our store/business and I will say that they are not big sellers at least not in my area. Most common buyers are prego mama's wanting one for a nursery, and people buying them for children to put their dolls in.
