What type of wall anchors can I use on old lath and plaster walls? For the life of me I can’t find anything in the hardware stores that say they work on plaster.

A finishing nail nailed in at an angle works for some types. If there is a wire and you need a hook the photo attached is one I have used for years without damaging the walls. Plus they remove easily for reuse and holes are tiny. Choose by the weight of what you are hanging. Some info attached hanging art on plaster walls. Hope this helps

I think I'd use one of those wall anchors that butterfly open inside the wall
probably need to use Molly bolts; they have a plastic piece that opens once it is hammered into the wall and springs open.
the kind of screws that will be used to securely expand once they are in place.
