It’s a lovely dramatic arch - it would be nice to add somethings to each side that are similar. Like framed prints in the same frames or wall hanging that are similar to each other.
With such rich colored walls, I recommend things that are bright - the photo trees don't show up at all. Bright white crown moulding would look awesome! Try for 3 dimensional (texture) items such as perhaps macrame, a wall with your odd servicing pieces on display (command hooks), etc. Also, your furniture looks as though it's all smooshed against walls. Try moving things out a bit like your dining table.
Wow, such a beautiful color! Deep rich wood tones like walnut go well with colors like this. Get a few various sized frames and put some cool art in there. If you stick to the same values (the dark tones) everything will look cohesive and well thought out.
Framed botanical floral prints would look good.

Big, shiny, bright silver things!
I believe that a macrame wall hanging will look perfect there. It's so much in trend these days!
Beautiful silver toned round mirrors, on each side ... my first thought.
Two or three pine shelves on both sides and add your own decorations on those....second thought.
you could use wall sconces and use the battery power flicker candles in them you could use gold or silver
also you can find metal pieces that have nice shapes to them that would look nice too
Something metallic - gold or silver would look beautiful against the blue. Maybe sconces or frames.
Love the color! Some macrame wall hanging, something metallic, or some accents with wood tones would complement with the color of your wall.
Something white or silver would contrast more and show up against the dark color.
Love the deep blue color, but there is too much of a good thing here. As a suggestion, make a wall with a mural to drop the level of blueness that is dominating the room.
Now to balance the archway, take away from the color depth by picking up a corresponding color from the mural, perhaps in a picture with silver overtones.
I don't think you need anything on the wall. It would make it look too cluttered. Instead you need something tall on the chest on the left and a tall plant on the right.
I agree with the suggestion for adding white crown molding. Also, you might consider painting the inside of the arch white.
I would go to either Home Goods or Kirklands they have everything from metal to beautiful colorful large pictures. And prices are very reasonable at both.
This is a great home to work with. I love the deep dark colors, but I might consider adding some white frames and accents to really make them pop.
I would go with a matching sconce set in either silver or gold, depending on your style, perhaps even white.
I would use something metallic, silver or gold to pop against the beautiful dark color.
I would put something white maybe with lights to brighten up the room and would not use much electricity or a boarder with some white in it
Hi Luci, hope this helps you out,

I would not want same on either side. Same proportion in size but not the same. That would look too "cookie cutter." Use the same amount of space with a few items or one single painting that is approximate in SIZE to what you hang on the other side.
I just think you need something lighter in color to contrast the dark wall.
Thank you everyone for your suggestions! They were all very good! I decided to go with something white and different on each side! Couldn’t have done it without all of your opinions! Thanks again! Happy Fall!
