The easiest way would to buy a very large framed print to hang above the sofa.

Make sure it is about three quarters the length of the sofa.

oh my goodness. Were you only looking for a quick fix or some more insight into decorating? I would be painting that sucker. I love to decorate. It would most likely be a shade of blue I would go with a darker shade as the bigger walls can take the darker and really compliment a room. Make it the feature wall. One piece of art on the wall can look 'cheap' mostly because it is often the only piece of decor. Depends on the rest of your house and your tastes. What are you willing to do? What are you capable of doing? I agree with the lamps but the lamps or the tables should have a very deep color to them... black even. Will tie in with your pillows and give it a polished and finished look. Whatever your decor may be you can go with any color on the color just try to stay on the deeper side of that color. Good luck. I hope you post what you decided to do.

Hi Rosemary, even though you are only asking about one wall, it helps if you post pictures of all the walls in this room. That gives viewers a better idea of your decorating tastes and your furnishings; accessories, thus your taste.

Ok, I would paint that just that wall, a shade of red color that's in your picture going up the stairs. Buy a large painting for over the sofa. The buy pillows in red, Mustard color to bring out the color in the other picture near the window , The plant pot spray paint that a shade of red. All your trim is white except the leaning to the porch, I would do that in white so it doesn't keep drawing your eye to it. The chair add lumber pillow to those. Add a red tone rug as you enter he door. Add decortive vases and candle sticks in accent colors. If you find a great decorative piece but the wrong color just spray paint it. Here are a few photo ideas.

This appears to be a small room. Painting the wall with a darker color might make it seem smaller. I would stay with a lighter color accent wall with a nice large pic and tall table lamps that will be a balance for your large picture. The picture could be of a nice landscape or of something flowering that is of a modern style. Sky's the limit!

You can make a big impact with a tapestry or fabric. A collection of antique mirrors would look great and reflect your beautiful nature view. If you have a lot of family photos select 8 of your favorite pictures. Have them printed in black and white in 10"x12" size and framed. You can also find so many beautiful architectural and local photos online.
