What are these metal things used for?

I found these at my local Habitat ReStore and thought of several things I can make with them. (Chandelier, wall art, coffee table or end tables) The workers there had no idea what they were originally. They were donated from an estate sale and found in a barn. Any idea what they were originally used for? Does anyone have any other ideas to upcycle them?

Looks like a lampshade. You could string Christmas lights on the inside and put a light material loosely on the outside. Or, even weave it around the metal.

I think they are used in clothing stores to hang clothes (there would have been a stand in the middle, if I'm correct). The metal loops that hang down are dividers that separate the clothes by style or size.

Might be interesting with vintage pictures, pages from vintage books and post cards, attached and made into a shade for a lamp or chandelier. I would print a few pages of the books so the print won't show through from the other side.

I was on the site Hometalk and I saw one like these made into a lamp.The bottom part was interwoven both horizontal and vertical with approx. 2 inch wide fabric strips and there was lace gathered around the top and a base was added.

I think that these came from an old propane heater (maybe). We have one that has that sort of wire device on it (to keep from getting burned) but the lampshade-type fastener is throwing me off! Cool find, though- I can see the wire wrapped in vintage, shabby ribbon and the whole thing attached to a hanging pendant fixture with an Edison bulb in it! Or, wrap the wires with tiny lights and hang it up for mood lighting.

No question, those are feeding baskets for smaller farm animals.(goats etc.) They hold hay. Great find for the price!
