use a cheap carrier oil like Almond or even Coconut oil.
i use coconut
THERE IS A SMELL OF COCONUT INITIALLY BUT IT GOES AWAY
Just put a drop on a light bulb and you will get the scent.
You can use a carrier oil like extra virgin olive oil (there is a mild, almost flavorless variety used for baking so the scent of the essential oil will not be overcome by it. Coconut oil is good.
I would not put any oil product on a light bulb because it can cause the bulb to explode. Lightbulb glass is a nightmare to clean up in the first place, and if it is the glass from a compact fluorescent, it's even worse because they're made with small amounts of mercury.
