Most will say command strips, but I have had a bad experience with them too. I had 2 plates that were framed in wood, just beautiful, and hung them with the command strips-using a strength greater than than recommended for the weight- 1 fell and shattered, needless-to-say, I removed the other.
I have lost trust in them for ceramic items, probably ok to use on something that will not break easily.

Use Command strips. Follow directions and they work great.

I had a really bad experience with Command strips. Following directions, I removed one and not only did paint come off but also some of dry wall.
