I saw a craft once that wrapped some twine around the top and bottom of the jar with glue to keep it in place. Was Cute filled with colored glass and if you like some flowers in it!

We love to add food dye to glue and paint them with the glue on the inside. They make beautiful tea light holders or plain as they are. Also, I use mine as gifts by adding clear glass drawer knobs to the top, a ribbon and decor on the ribbon and striped candy inside. See photo. There are 3 jars in 3 sizes here, but I think you can see the biggest jar with the candy in it.
