By 'more useful' what exactly do you mean - for example, do you want more storage by the sinks, hardware for hanging up towels ?
Hi Kim, here's a link that shows some pics of narrow storage shelves between the sinks and it helps make the mirror less imposing.

You can divide it into 2 using a wooden frame.
Hi Kim. I like the idea of using frames. I recommend that you take a walk thru your local home improvement store (Home Depot, Lowes, Menard's, etc.) to see all the wood trim available. And, here's the best part, they will cut it for you, if you purchase from them. Take your measurements when you go. Good luck Kim. I hope you are well.
Are they plain no frame, if yes you could frame them
Peel and stick tile around it would make it look great.
Hello Kim,
Frame it by sticking either a Timber frame on top of it using double sided tape, or using ceramic tiles or Tile covers or Wallpaper Border or Gaffer Tape etc. It will look great when you've done.
There are all kinds of peel and stick trim for mirrors that will frame the mirror and make it appear a little smaller. You can also find some peel and stick stickers that you can trim the edges of the mirror with. Here is a link to the products I am talking about: https://amzn.to/3dpaX9y

I love the idea of framing out your bathroom mirror to make it feel more built in - it's very inexpensive and really transforms the space!
You could trim it with tile: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mLR0s1Wk4Nw
Or what I did was I removed the huge mirror and purchased a new mirror from Hobby Lobby when they had their mirrors 50% off!

Large Bathroom Mirror redo to double framed mirrors and cabinet
Buy some molding and attach to the mirror. You can make straight cuts if you use the corner pieces. If you can you could get the mirror off the walls you can have it cut into 2 mirrors and then frame the both of them.
You can frame it and add a shelf set in the middle to give it the appearance of two smaller mirrors. I've seen it done but unsure if it's a project here or elsewhere.
