Wash in cold water with minimal detergent. They will still fade but cold water will slow the progress.
And good old vinegar is great to set dyes. But read all the directions for the product you use. 😇
When I dye garments I always follow it with a salt water rinse. The salt prevents the color from leeching and the colors are vivid and beautiful. I find that one cup of salt added to the rinse cycle works best. Happy coloring!!
I've found that the best way is the salt water rinse method that Mommomiscool mentioned. It's worked for me for over 50 years.
I've always put a cup of salt in with the dye and white vinegar in the cold rinse water.
