It depends on what you want to use for decorating. You can create a basic wreath and then change it out according to the seasons by making a long extended length of decorations that can be changed out

There are some great wreath projects here on Hometalk! Depending on the type of wreath you could use thrift store finds, dollar store, Hobby Lobby, Amazon, or Etsy. Have fun with your project Helen! http://www.hometalk.com/search/posts?filter=diy%20wreath

Patricia posted a great link to get you started learning to make wreaths. You can also search "DIY wreaths" and see what comes up. As for supplies, the best places to look are the ones near where you live. We have Hobby Lobby, A.C. Moore, Dollar Tree, Dollar General and JoAnn's within a 1 large block radius. Michaels is about a 20 min drive away. ALWAYS look for coupons at any of these places. A.C. Moore has a 50% or 55% off one full price item every week but you really need to be on a email list to find all the coupons. I'd set up a separate email list on gmail just for coupons because they come every day - different ones for that day only most of the time. Then they won't get mixed up with our other email and you can zip through them easily. Also A.C. Moore takes JoAnn's coupons and maybe some others. Ask at the store. They all know. If you go to A.C. Moore, take at least one friend with you, you can each use your coupon and you can just pay for them both. Be sure you link your coupon email to your phone. That's what you'll show at the checkout. Another place you might find treasures is at garage sales. I've seen many things at garages that would be perfect for wreaths.
