Replacing Exterior Light Fixtures.

$160.00

Medium
I replaced the battered, mismatched old exterior fixtures on our house. We went from brass to a darker fixture for more contrast, and used bright, energy efficient LED lamps. I think it turned out great. Check out the blog for how I did it, as well as some quick electrical tips.
It's worse than it looks!
If you like it, you better put a level on it.
Wired up and sliding on the new bracket.
Much improved. Plus, I can replace the lamp without disassembling the fixture.
Mounted on the brick too.

Great Job! It is funny how a couple of updates can make such a difference. I replaced mine a couple of years ago. Just happened to be in Home Depot when one was on sale, liked it and brought it home. In fact I bought 3 fixtures that day...the best buy was the over $300 done I got for under a $100 for the dining room! I always cruise the lighting section when I go in there. I don't find that Lowes puts too much on close out sale...but then they are not as close as HD to us. I don't drive 7-8 miles when I can drive 1 mile!

We changed our outdated brass fixture too, to black. We painted them!
