The boot was a planter gifted to my niece at her new horse barn open house, the plant didn't survive but I told her I would come up with something to reuse the boot
it was a pre made sign ... I sanded the original words off ----stenciled on my own (love all these country songs about boots lol) sprayed a little finish on fastened the boot on with wood screws from the back side ...... there you have it
Before product I bought on clearance.
removed the metal clips and sanded off the meters
sanded off the letters and removed the clips
Stenciled the words that I wanted on it I used chalk because I don’t want the letters to be perfect , then I used acrylic paint with a small brush to make the letters more permanent. I sprayed with a matte finish to set the letters.

I predrilled the hole in the side of the boot heal and also the slat and then put a screw from the back side to hold the boot in place at the bottom. The top of the boot I did with a shorter screw to hold it up at the top of the boot. I also did a screw through to the sole of the boot closer to the middle to attach it to the slat and help keep the shape of the boot.
Finished !! The boots a little weathered but makes it perfect for the wording.
Finished. !! ❤️ My niece was thrilled
