I took this roll top bread box and gave it a beautiful new farmhouse look in soft warm whites, check out just how to take it from dated to classic
Here is the roll top bread box in orange with floral and leaf hand painting, definitely not my color scheme but that is easy to fix with paint and wax, see how I did so below ...
The edges were all spray painted black spray paint so distressing would reveal black and not orange. Then 2 coats of Fusion Mineral paint in plaster were hand painted on all sides, inside and in the top storage area. The edges were then lightly distressed to reveal that black spray painted on.
To add visual interest, a pretty stencil was painted on in Fusion coal black. To add dimension and depth to the warm white paint I chose Fusion Mineral Paint's black wax adding to the crevices and edges to further enhance the aged farmhouse look and feel.
A new knob was added to finish off the entire look. I think that it is now ready for many more years of kitchen use, what do you think?
