Rolled Paper Flower Shadow Box
Fill a shadow box with pretty rolled paper flowers. This piece of art makes a bold and colorful statement. Learn how to make the flowers and tips for decorating the shadow box.
Start with a shadow box, the one I chose is 12x16 inches. Shadow boxes are deep frames that all you to store dimensional trinkets inside.
You will also need cardstock in a variety of colors. I chose to use various shades of yellow.
Grab a hot glue gun and a cutting machine and you are ready to get started.
I used my Cricut Explore Air 2 for this project.
Load up a mat with a piece of the card stock you selected. Then cut a paper flower. To fill a frame this size you will need at least 50 flowers. The Cricut makes the cutting easy, all you have to do is roll.
When the flower is cut it will look like this. To make this spiral into a flower, start rolling from the outside in. Secure the circle tab at the end to the bottom of the rolled flower using hot glue.
This is what your flower will look like!
Now fill the backing of the shadow box with flowers, attach them with hot glue. Once the backing is full, place it back in the shadow box and close up the frame.
For a little added embellishment, decorate the front of the shadow box with black vinyl. Hang this frame in your home and add color and dimension to a gallery wall.
