Do you have left over yarn from knitting or craft projects like I do?! Well it’s time to put those scraps of yarn to good use and make some Pom-Poms! 😄. Pom-Poms are so versatile and they can be used not only for crafts, but for fashion as well! Are you ready?! Let’s do this!

First we take our pile of scrap yarn or any small bundles of yarn you have left over from previous projects.

I find one of the larger cut pieces and use that as my starting point. I then start separating any already cut pieces.

Now it’s time to start piling them up on top of each other, as shown.

Keep on piling them up, the higher the pile the fluffier the Pom Pom!

Since my bottom piece of yarn was so long, I cut it and added it to the pile of yarn.

Now we can start to tie up the yarn pile with the long yarn piece on the vary bottom.

Double knot it to keep it secure.

Now it’s time to trim the pieces to make it more even.

You can keep the Pom Pom more loose like this or keep cutting it and it will become tighter.

Since the cut scraps from this Pom Pom were long, I made a mini Pom Pom version as well 😄

Use the same process as above, it’s just smaller 😉

Here are both Pom Pom’s in a loose shape...

...here they are more cut and in a tighter shape! You can use these to decorate your countertop, use as garland or as a vase filler. I hope you enjoyed this simple Pom Pom project!
