Craft store $4.00 wood tray transformed to match the kitchen back splash
1. I bought this plain wood tray.


2. I painted the tray edges grey before adding the tiles.


3. I used left over back splash tiles, a few needed cutting.


4. Used left over tile adhesive


5. Once the tiles were dry and set, I mixed a watery grout mix and smeared


on the top of the tiles.


6. I let it sit for about 10 minutes then wiped off excess with a wet sponge.


7. Wipe with wet sponge several times till all excess has been removed.


Serve guest using your pretty tray.

Suggested materials:
  • Wood tray, paint, wall tiles, grout, tile adhesive, dremel to cut a few tiles.   (I had all the tools for this project but the wood tray.)
