Spray Paint Makeovers You Won't Believe!
Painting is my favorite way to update a space. It's crazy how much life can be breathed into a room by painting its four walls! Or even ceiling if you're feeling wild and fun!
Spray paint is another favorite way to update an ugly, outdated piece of furniture or decor. It's so easy and I'm all for something that is not only easy but can make you fall in love with something ugly. So, I'm sharing with you some of my favorite spray paint makeovers we have done in our own home.
This light in our master bedroom is one of our favorite makeovers. It was an "open box" buy on Ebay and we got it for super cheap and just sprayed it with our favorite matte black spray paint and it now hangs in our bedroom.
Here is a helpful hint when you are spray painting something big: Find something you can use to hold a bar through to hang it on. Like us, you can tell we used this pole threaded through crates and a step ladder.
This is my favorite lamp for a couple reasons. 1, we got it from Goodwill for $5. 2, it's lasted through two room changes for our daughter. It was coral in her nursery and is now navy and sits in her big girl room and I just love it!
I have to say this is one of my favorite spray paint projects to date we have done in our home! Spraying all of our doorknobs when we first moved in felt like it changed everything and gave just a small amount of customization.
Here's a tip for spray painting screws if you need to paint hinges or screws: Stick the screws upright in styrofoam so you can spray them evenly.
We have since replaced all of our doorknobs with really awesome modern farmhouse lever handles, but this held us over and I was super happy with it!
