Finish your projects with Rustoleum varnish spray that Amazon reviewers swear by!

Materials you need:

One package of stove top covers

Glass candle stick

Paint

Stain dark walnut

Hot glue gun

E 6000

Rag

Chip paint brush

First step is to glue the beads around the edge around the bottom of the stove top cover

Spray paint the candle stick white

Also paint the top of the stove top cover

Use hot glue and E600 and glue the top and and candle stick to the middle of the stove cover

Now I used what I had on hand with paints and dry brushed on 3 colors taupe, gray, cream and a little white again

This is what It looked like after the paint job

Make sure it’s dry before doing this next step!!

Once dry, apply the stain in all over the top and make sure your movements are only in one direction so not going back and forth.

Whip the extra stain off

Last step is just spray with clear matte

Here is the finished product!

LOOK HOW CUTE!! Love how it goes with my Easter decor.

While very cute, the hot glue is not going to allow you to put anything with any weight on it. I did this a couple of years ago and even though both the stove cover and candle stick were free of oil they came apart. I ended up using a 2 part epoxy, which I prefer over e6000, to adhere the 2 parts together.
