I seen a jar candle kino of like this, but it had hearts on it. And I decorate in star decor, so I Put my own spin on this one I made. And the jar is larger then the one I got the idea from. So I figured I would try it, and see how it turns out.
This is where I cut the stars out of 3 m tape for painting. The kind of tape you use when you want to keep the paint off of an area. Like when you paint your walls you would use this tape to keep the paint off the molding.
This is after I painted the jar let it dry then took that tape off. So now the stars are clear glass, and the rest of the jar is panted flat black. It's hard to tell what it looks like just yet. This is because the whole jar is black and there nothing to make the stars visible
So here is where I added a piece of white paper, in the jar. But only so the paper is to the back of the jar and behind the star. This will make the stars visible, because it has a light background. I cut the paper so it was below the threaded area of the jar.
This is the end product the white paper makes the glowing effect. Having the white paper makes it light in the back and gives the stars the added effect to be able to see them. I added a LED tea light candle made of plastic, the purpose of not being able to have a real candle in the jar is because of the heat and flame. The flame would make it too hot, burn the paper and melt the paint.
