If you have a Star Wars fan, then you have to make these! They are so easy to make, inexpensive and are so much fun! My boys are super excited for the new Star Wars movie, so I made them these fun R2D2 book ends out of 2x4s and 2x2s.
The first step is to cut the wood. I used a 2x4 for the body and a 2x2 for the legs and feet. For each R2D2 you will need one body, two legs and two feet.
I cut the feet at an angle and rounded the head a little bit.
I then nailed all the pieces together with a nail gun.
I painted the wood white and then put on some vinyl for the design (you could easily use paint instead of vinyl).
And that's it!! Super easy to make and so fun and cute!
They are perfect for book ends because they are sturdy and big.
But they would also look great just on a table or shelf. Make sure to check out my blog post for dimensions and step by step instructions.
