Stick Command Hooks Under Your Kitchen Cabinets for Genius Lighting

30 Minutes
If you're like me and find yourself wanting a little mood lighting in your kitchen (or any other room, really), here's a great way to do that with just a few supplies and steps.
Today is a gloomy, rainy day, so my house is gloomy and dark, even with all the lights on. On days like today (as well as in the evenings) it's clear that I need a little more light to brighten up my kitchen.

I started by crouching down and feeling under my cabinets for a flat surface on which I would be able to stick the command hooks. I pulled off the blue paper and stuck my hooks in place.

Then, I just grabbed a strand of rope lights and went around the kitchen cabinets securing it into place at each hook, keeping it tight as I went. It sounds a little tricky, but once you see how it’s done in the video, it’s actually pretty simple.

Goodbye, kitchen gloom! Just look at that glow—now it’s so bright and festive, and the best part? The whole project was just $26!

I did something similar using those older type white christmas lights . I did it all along the top of the room . I also put a string inside my TV wall unit. It looked great. Now I live in my RV so I think your idea would be great for my kitchen and livingroom areas! Thanks! "Happy DIY'ing!"
