I have always struggled to keep my succulents in good shape. Less water or more? Sunlight or shade? Black or brown soil? These questions really scared me. Till the time I took the problem in my hands to solve these once and for all.

Take a piece of clay. Flatten it using a rolling pin. Try to keep it in a round shape.

The finished shape should be like this.

Use a circular mould cutter. Make 3 or 4 cutouts according to your requirement.

Cut each circle into 4 quarters using a sharp knife. Ensure that there are no burrs while doing it.

The finished ones should have clean cuts - as much as possible - as shown in the above pic.

Use an adhesive and join them together.

Now carefully roll the entire chain. You will get 3-4 whorls in doing this.

Dry the clay for 8 hours or overnight. Once done, you have a semi-finished succulent as in this pic.

Use a touch of various shades of green to your liking. I have used a combination of dark green and lime yellow. This gives a finished look of the succulent which is popularly known as snake plant. g

You can see the making of the entire succulent - from start to finish - in the above video.
